Why aren't there any motherboards with built in firewire 800 ports? Is it some kind of royalty issue? I would think that fw800 would be an upgrade to fw400 which has been on nearly every motherboard for ages.

also, take a look at this from the article:

"install three 500GB drives, and you'll have effective storage space of 929MB."
