Downtime Tonight - Completed!
Sorry for the late notice, but we're going to be taking Maximum PC offline for an hour or so later this evening, starting around 9PM Pacific/midnight Eastern. The good news is that we're taking the site down to upgrade the hardware (more on that later), which should result in snappier load times and less downtime, even when the site is running under extremely heavy loads. I'll be posting status updates on my Twitter, as I don't have much else to do during the migration. If you notice anything weird after the site comes back up, please post about it in the comments.
Apologies to Twitter for the graphic.

Hey will what hardware is the site being run on? Just the details please.. I'm just wondering. Are you guys running raided raptors? Xeon or C2Q Penryn? 4 gigs of ram? Details please.
I used to belong to a torrent site that actually had a page devoted to the server. They had pictures of the hardware and details. It was pretty cool. I remember the drastic speed increase of the site when they raided a pair of raptors and added a dual core processor.

That last time you guys said it would be an hour things went bad. You shouldn't jinx yourself like that.
