Anonymous, that is. Every time they go off on one of these "noble missions," they inevitably cause more and more hardships for everyone else by fighting for whatever cause they've latched onto for the week.

They don't like game companies trying to protect their properties? Let's break into their systems and make them protect their stuff with even more heavy-handed, redundant, and highly annoying DRM schemes! Thanks for looking out for my well-being guys! Meantime, regular people are the ones who get stuck (trying) to play a game that requires always-on Internet connectivity for a single-palyer game, when "Ooops!" some drunk down the block crashes their car and takes out the Verizon box that supplies my neighborhoods' Internet. Or some guy gets banned in a game's chat channel and tehn gets locked out of the game as well.

Don't like how a console maker tries to protect their IP (no matter how foolishly/badly they encrypted it and some bored guy with 15 minutes on his hands figured it out)? Let's break into there servers and end up stealing a whole bunch of innocent people's account and credit information. The result is that I end up having to cancel credit cards, get new ones re-issued, change all of my bill-pay options, and have to watch my freakin' credit reports like a hawk for the foreseeable future.

Feel like movie companies are charging too much for tickets/DVD's/Blu-Rays and they already have more than enough money or are simply making crap you wouldn't pay for in the first place? Screw it, we'll just 'Torrent the Hell out of 'em. Teach those bastards a lesson! So the movie companies start ramping up their copy-protection schemes and jacking up the prices even more, or keep churning out crap sequels to crap movies  ("Not Another ____ Movie" franchise, anyone?) because they're "safe" investments.

All their "crusades" end up doing is causing the "big bad" companies/governments to tighten the screws and increase their "evil empire efforts" even higher and screws over the "regular folk" a little more each time. Just like the kid who poops in the public pool, they're ruining it for the rest of us. They're going to go too far one day and piss off the wrong people. Before you know it, the Internet is going to be so tightly regulated that so much as making an off-color joke will result in people in blue windbreakers with yellow letters will be kicking down your door and taking your modem, or Internet access is going to be so stupid costly that no one can really afford it.

So, thanks Anonymous for making my day a little better through all you do.

That wasn't Anonymous...

Not Anonymous....

Don't fight back, because it just makes things worse.  Nice attitude if you're a rug.

Show me an anon with pure intentions and I'll show you a guy who is full of s***.
Anon is always and only in it for personal gain, nothing more. Whether it's a bank account, or some smug sense of satisfaction, nothing they do has anything to do with the interests of "the people" or any other group outside of themselves.

I like how there showing weakness if I was nato and heard if I cut off one head another ten grows back I would cut off as many heads as I can get, more of them to roll once they hit the ground. Well sounds like there scared of losing a head in the first place by just saying this.
