I would throw in a rant but this article just makes me sad. Stop giving MACs cannon fodder for their commercials and think about what you say before you say it. =/

At $225 to install a full Home Edition onto my (perfectly functioning) netbook, no thanks.

Even if that would employ a Microsoft-contracted phone rep in Banglalore for 6 weeks....

I know the MPC staff likes Windows 7, and I am not against it as such, but isn't this going a little overboard? I can understand saying that its great, wonderful, and all-that, but telling people to buy it? Granted, its just a title for an article, but still...

It's not like they're threatening you if you don't buy it...maybe persuading you? Regardless, it's not mandatory.

The title of the article reflects, well, the article, and not necessarily our opinion.

My University just got Win 7 in stock, with the software deals it has
with Microsoft and other software companies students get stuff for cheep,
like $18.87 for Ultimate Edition cheap!! (Vista Untimate is $15 flat)  I'll do my part for the economy
no problem.

You have to sign a book of forms though and you only get 3 installs.
