Do Scented USB Drives Smell Like a Good Idea to You?
We've seen some funky USB thumb drives before, but never have we smelled one that didn't carry the scent of anything other than plastic and electronics. That all changes with Maxell's Armoa USB Flash Drive line, a colorful collection of USB thumb sticks that, should the need arise, will give your nose a whiff of something other than silicon.
The Aroma keys come in Apple, Strawberry, Chocolate, Lemon, Orange, and Mint. Each one is encased in rubber and is both shock resistant and splash proof. There's an LED indicator, password software, and an included keychain to attach the cap. Blah, blah, blah -- that's all secondary to the fact that these drives bring their own aroma, which we suppose might make them easier for spies to swallow if they get caught stealing secret documents (Maximum PSA: Don't eat USB drives, even if they smell delicious).
The drives are available in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB capacities and offer 11MB read and 5MB write speeds. No word on price or availability.

This looks like one of those techie April Fools Day jokes. Has Maxell lost their minds? Whatever else I keep in my pocket along with the drive will end up smelling as well. UGH...

No, I think smelly hardware is silly. The only smell I would like to worry about is smoke when I overclock.

Hahaha. I'm waiting for edible USB sticks though. When the man comes looking for my data, I can just eat it!

I am often forgetful, so I eat USB drives to increase my memory.

Be carefull if their quality is the same as their recordable dvd,s they may erase your memory entirely
