D-Link Xtreme N DIR-685 Has Room For NAS and a Digital Photo Frame

While most people are enticed with the blinking lights that most wireless routers provide, D-Link is looking to up the ante on even the most advanced getups (watch your back, Belkin) with their latest announcement; the Xtreme N DIR-685, featuring a 3.2-inch LCD.
D-Link’s router isn’t all Jenna Maroney, either. It’s got a lot of Liz Lemon, featuring the abilities to share a printer (or any other USB devices) and add a 2.5-inch hard drive for sharing files or BitTorrenting.
There’s still no word yet on pricing or availability.

this is a product looking for a market. once you add the cables it is just going to be just as ugly. Besides, internal antennas suck.
At last! A router you don't need to hide

The addition of a small digital picture frame's pretty clever, as it gives you a perfect reason to leave the router out in the open for better signal strength. Depending upon the price, I can see possible replacements of more conventional routers as well as sales to folks who've been resisting wireless because of the "ugly" router.

It's amazing how illogical a business built on binary logic can be.
