Dissecting Amazon's Kindle Fire Sales and 22 Percent Market Share Claim

I use my Kindle Fire several times a day, sometimes including shopping for items on Amazon.com -- most recently I bought a special dryer vent. I could have used a computer, but the Fire was handy and already running. I want a full featured 10-inch tablet, but for now the Fire is sufficient. Point is, the Amazon app on the Kindle Fire makes shopping convenient, so Amazon gets more of my business.

Losing money on hardware. Losing money on software.

Amazon sure does have a strange business model.

Clearly they want to break Apple's stranglehold on the market (at any cost), and I'm behind them 100%! And this is despite them refusing to sell me a Fire (I live in Canada, you couldn't ship a Kindle Fire here).
