DirecTV Looking to Scratch Your 3D TV Itch in 2010?
Are you hoping this whole 3D TV thing will just blow over? Well, if the newest rumor turns out to be true, that’s looking less likely. According to everyone’s favorite, the “unnamed source”, DirecTV will be making an announcement at CES indicating their intention to begin broadcasting 3D high definition content as early as March of 2010.
The rumor also says that the 3D content will require only a firmware update on existing set-top boxes to access the 3D content. Still in question is what sort of goofy-looking glasses people would need to wear. The 3D channel will reportedly offer an assortment of sports, movies, and TV series. All content should meet the recently agreed upon 3D specifications. The 3D video will require customers to buy one of the new 3D capable HDTVs expected to debut at CES, and new HDMI 1.4 specification cables.

I hate 3D. It has always sucked, and probably always will. Give it up.
I promise you, I will never watch anything in 3D willingly. Its dumb. Also, the glasses don't work for me because I have no depth perception.
Fuck 3D. There, I said it.

Amen!
I went over the holidays with my family to see Avatar and the theater only had it in 3D. I wasn't realy excited about it but we gave it a try as none of us had seen any of the other recent movies in 3D. After the movie I asked everyone for their opinion. Of our group of 5 adults only 1 person thought there was anything compelling about 3D. Everyone else ranged in opinion from "its interesting curiosity but nothing great" to utter hatred (my opinion). I felt like they took what would have been an awesome movie and wrapped in in cumbersome and meaningless 3D garbage which added nothing of any value. I really hope this stops soon.

I want to know who is the evil 3D gremlin that keeps resurfacing every 20 years trying to take over the world, only to be defeated by the fact that nobody except my rich-a** daddy-trust fund friends actually cares about 3D. Dammit focus your energies on things people will actually use...I want my OLED!

[To the tune of "American Pie"]
A long, long, time ago
I can still remember when I dialed up their help desk lines.
And I knew if I had the chance
They could make my modem dance
with chats and GIFs and silly pick-up lines. But Help Desk phone calls made me shiver
with every busy they'd deliver.
Bad news on the front page
A 19-hour outrage.I can't remember if I cried
when I realized that Steve Case had lied.
But something touched me deep inside
The day the service died.adirondack patio furniture | radio software | honda dealership nj | lexus dealership new york | honda dealer new jersey

I was really hoping the 3-D TV thing would go away, but every day I keep on reading about some new TV set or box that will be supporting 3-D broadcasts. I am really not all that interested in 3-D TV. I'm not all that impressed with the 3-D movies I've seen recently, so 3-D TV really has no pull for me. I all ready wear glasses, so the idea of having to put another pair of glasses over my existing glasses just to watch TV does not thrill me. I'm not sure, but I don't think you will be able to lie down and watch 3-D TV because it would mess up how the picture gets to you. On top of that, I've heard some 3-D glasses will need to have either batteries or be charged for use. Just what I need - another battery hungry device in my house!

No kidding! IMNSHO, this is just another cheap ass gimmick piece of technology. I simply do not see this catching on to any large degree without major advances in the 3D viewing technology invovled.
And what about your absolutely horrendous viewing experience when the dog eats your 3D glasses?
I'll pay forHD TV every month if I have too. It's just that much of a viewing eyegasm! But 3D TV? Is Donald Trump involved in this or something?
