Dell's New Inspiron 13z and 14z Laptops Dressed to Impress
Dell decided it was time to revamp its wardrobe and the first thing to go were those old digs the OEM's consumer laptops were known to sport (Studio series notwithstanding). The new Inspiron 13z and 14z laptops bring a fresh look to the table, along with an ultrathin profile and second generation Intel Core processor options of the i3 and i5 variety.
The smaller Inspiron 13z sports a 13.3-inch screen with a 1366x768 resolution, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, 320GB/500GB hard drive or 128GB SSD, full-size chiclet-style keyboard, HD webcam, media card reader, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 3.0, HDMI, SRS Premium Sound HD, and Windows 7.
You'll find some of the same features in the 14-inch Inspiron 14z, along with a choice between a 500GB, 640GB, or 750GB hard drive, and internal tray-load DVD burner thrown into the mix. Both laptops are offered in "Diamond Black" or "Fire Red" with matching palmrest (Engadget posted a handful of hands-on snapshots that are much better than Dell's limited collection of press photos).

Sadly the 13z is only in select Asian markets right now. That's the kind of stuff that needs to be here.
