WTF isn't Ubuntu free? Why the hell is this thing over $1500?

I hate Ubuntu. It is too bloated. Unity sucks.

Way overpriced for the spec sheet it's carrying. Also what irks me about Dell is the fact that (atleast for U.S.A. customers) it's hard to see what side of the fence they are on as far as offering more than just Windows. They offer Linux once in a blue moon and if you blink they've discontinued the option, and/or load it with 8.04 despite the computer being new. Dell either needs to offer Linux as an option 100% of the time or not at all, no more of this 'we'll tease you with vaporware" crap. This is why I either build my own or buy from System76.

I'd be happy to try something as good but without Unity.

Hey.That_Dude

Overpriced and under powered. Seriously, the OS is friggin' free and it still costs well over a grand?

I like how they're trying to convince us that 1920*1080 is a big deal and not something that has been available for over half a decade on laptops.

I also like how they're telling us that the obvious, logical comparison between this XPS & the macbook air retina is "wrong" simply because it makes Dell look unfavorable; even Dell can't come up with real reasons why we shouldn't make the comparison (half a pound and cost, when they're selling a 1500+ USD notebook, aren't real reasons).

Also, "Project Sputnik"?

Damn I'd be careful if I were Dell. Did anyone count how many times they said 'Mac Book'? Wouldnt suprised if apple sues lmao
