Holy Crap! Crysis 2 Announced!

As seen on the cover of the February 2010 issue of PC Gamer magazine.
PC Gamer lists it as one of their top 10 games of 2010. The preview debuts the first two screens from the game, showing off a lush city park (complete with benches, trash cans, and plenty of trees) and a decimated city street.
There's also an interview with the game's Executive Producer, Nathan Camarillo, which includes highlighted phrases like "far from tropical" and "increased verticality."
The issue should be on newsstands next week -- pick up a copy for more Crysis 2 details!

I mean the whole genre sunk when reviews online were only days after the game came out and the mags were way behind the curve. I had 3 subscriptions: PCGamer, PC games for windows, and the last was what? PC Games? All gone, at least I thought they were! I hated the idea of wholes pages just for pictures of the games. Give me WORDS dammit! I can look for pretty pictures myself.

Does this mag still exist? Or is it like PC Mag that is online only? I got my subscription dropped over a year ago.

They're either gonna dumb down the PC version so it'll be equal to the shitty 360 or the 360 by itself will suffer hardcore... this game isn't meant for the mediocre graphics of the consoles.

PC Gamer gave Crisis 100% points . I don't remember they would give that rate to any game before. Based on they rate I bought the game. That was the worst spent time I've ever spent playing game . It's not horrible but it's just regular liner shooter . Far Cry was much better game. The second part of the Crisis was complete joke !!!! The opinion I've made ? First I don't subscribe to PC Gamer any more. Second I'm not buying into any hype based " something groundbreaking" . For me they lost credibility .

Thing about Cryengine 3 is that it's pretty much designed to run on mid-range hardware rather than super-high-end stuff. At least, that what's I've gathered. Cryengine 3 (at least when I saw it demoed) was either only on-par with Cryengine 2, or actually slightly below it.

Crysis 2 was announced at E3 earlier this year. It will be using the new CryEngine 3 graphics engine which was designed for PC, XBOX 360, and PS3. Crysis 2 will launch on all 3 of those platforms.

Hopefully it will be better than the first. The first was not worth the disc it was stamped on. Played it for 3 hrs, now it is a coaster.

It's one of the best games of all time rated by editors and gamers themselves... regardless of it's platform... maybe you need to stick with WoW and Guitar Hero.

Maybe people need to judge games for themselves, rather than believe what someone else thinks. I rather would be independent in thought, than be a lemming. P.S. I don't play WOW, I think it is worse than crybaby, I mean crybro, I mean crymom, oops crybad, crywhatever. Guitarhero is okay, but it lost it's appeal pretty fast.

I liked the gameplay in Crysis a lot.
Although I couldn't finish the game because of the horrible framerate issues I had with a decent system. And I refuse to play below my native resolution.
Maybe someday I'll actually get to enjoy it.

Love Crysis. Warhead was kinda meh for a bunch of reasons. All that aside though....can't wait for the issue!!! Pray for PC only!!!

they said at E3 that it is coming out for consoles also, but at least i dont think crytek is going to design it for the consoles and port it over tho the PC, like most games

It annoys me to no end when magazine print cover date is so far ahead (I know, it's just part of the business and it shows a month ahead due to print delays, etc...) Still odd to see Feb 2010 issues when we're still technically in Dec 2009

It's the shelf life date, magazine vendors use pre-dating methods to know when to pull an issue off the shelf and when to expect a new issue "by X date".
