Not a bad idea at all. Sure it's not enough to backup my entire hard drive, but it's enough to backup my work documents, programs I've been working on, and most of my photos. And that's just with the 8GB stick that I own. I could see this being amazing for small, incremental backups. I'd still say if you're cloning a hard drive, the only other real setup to adequately do so is another harddrive, but this is good for most people.
