Corsair Attacks Gaming Peripheral Market with a Vengeance Line

Joe the smug console gamer can take his PlayStation 3 and stick it in a very unpleasant place, we'll stick with PC gaming, thank you very much. We've spent years honing our keyboard and mouse skills, two of the most deadliest weapons in the hands of a PC gamer, which is why peripheral makers put so much focus on them. Even Corsair, a company best known for its memory and power supply products, is getting in on the fun.

Corsair today announced the immediate retail availability of its new line of Vengeance PC gaming peripherals, which includes four new HID products: The Vengeance K60 and K90 gaming keyboards, and the Vengeance M60 and M90 laser gaming mice, each one constructed from aluminum for strength and durability, Corsair says.

"We're hardcore gamers ourselves, and with the new Corsair Vengeance line, we've developed precisely the products we always wanted." said Ruben Mookerjee, VP and General Manager of the Components Business Unit at Corsair. "They're carefully designed to give you the competitive edge you need to win."

The K60 and M60 combination is designed for gamers who live and breathe first person shooters, whereas the K90 and M90 are both designed for MMO and RTS gaming. Corsair's K60 plank features Cherry MX Red mechanical key switches and a contoured left-wrist, as well as shaped and textured WASD key caps. The K90 is also a mechanical keyboard, but it ups the ante with 18 dedicated macro keys with three user-selectable banks for a total of 54 independent macros.

Moving on to the mice,  the M60 sports a 5700 DPI and eight programmable buttons, while the M90 features 15 buttons. Pricing breaks down as follows:

• Vengeance K90: $129
• Vengeance K60: $109
• Vengeance M90: $79
• Vengeance M60: $69
