Cooler Master Outs New Elite 431 Plus Mid-Size Case
‘Tis the season for discounted prices, and if you’re in the market for a new PC, the next month may be a good one to go out and grab all the components you’ll need to toss a custom rig together. (Unless, um, you need a hard drive.) But if you find you’ve succumbed to a buying frenzy and blew your budget on high-powered components – and left yourself without a chassis – don’t despair, and certainly don’t recycle your mom’s old Compaq tower; Cooler Master’s releasing the CM Elite 431 Plus ATX Mid-Tower Chassis this month, a $60 case that might appeal to the budget-conscious.

The 7.56-by-16.8-by-19.65-inch Elite 431 Plus is built out of black steel and features a transparent window on the left side. Inside, you’ll find five 3.5 inch drive bays and three 5.25 inch drive bays, one of which can be converted into a 3.5 inch bay using a removable external cross dock. A USB 3.0 port is included, and you can shove up to five fans inside to help keep things cool. On the downside, only a single 120mm front fan comes included, but hey, it boasts a blue LED, and who doesn't like LEDs? Plus, “Long graphics cards such as the AMD Radeon HD 6990 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 will fit with ease,” Cooler Master boasts in its press release.
For a full list of specs and measurements, check out the CM Elite 431 Plus’ product page. Cooler Master says the case will start shipping sometime in December, but a firm date is not yet known.

I didn't like the original one, but this one seems kinda cool! Any idea when Amazon or Newegg will have it?
