Chrome 15 Hits Stable Channel for Chromebooks, Brings NTFS Support

Google on Wednesday announced the release of Chrome 15 on the Stable Channel for Chromebooks. This Chrome OS update brings a number of new features, but perhaps none more noteworthy than support for the NTFS file system. Released a couple of weeks after the release of Chrome 15 for Windows, Mac and Linux, this update for Chromebooks packs all the new functionality contained in the latest version of the browser.

If you’ve been desperately hankering after NTFS support for Chromebooks, the moment you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived. Now you can use easily use NTFS-formatted external storage device with your Chromebook.
