Google recently released its Chrome 10 browser in beta form, and with it come a handful of upgrades over previous versions. First and foremost is performance. Google promises a "dramatic improvement in JavaScript" speed, making it "quick as a bunny." Put in more measurable terms, Chrome 10 beta is supposed to be 66 percent faster than the latest stable build, or at least that's the case in Google's V8 benchmark suite.
Other additions include new password sync features, revamped browsers settings, and preliminary implementation of GPU-accelerated video.
"Users with capable graphics hardware should see a significant decrease in CPU usage," Google said. "In full screen mode, CPU usage may decrease by as much as 80 percent! This means better battery life so you can keep going and going like that pink bunny in the commercials."
We're not sure what's up with Google's rabbit fetish, but it hasn't stopped it from continuing to improve Chrome, gaining market share in the process. According to data by Net Applications, Chrome now owns a 10.7 percent share of the browser market, compared to 5.61 percent in February 2010.

Wonderful update. Every system I have it on (Windows, Linux) runs better.

Yay for ignorant comments. I have never gotten malware, trojans, or a virus while using Chrome, and I've been using it for years.
