Chipmaker Boss Says Recovery Will Take 3 Years

It’s no secret that the global economy is in a rough place, and there are few industries not feeling the pain. Unfortunately, the chip industry isn’t one of those that finds itself immune, and while it’s taken some heavy blows recently it’s not at rock bottom. Though, it is “pretty close” according to Morris Chang, the chairman of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.
“I think it will be 2012 before the total revenue of the semiconductor industry gets back to the '08 level,” stated Chang, who has been in the industry for more than half a century. Last month Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. reported a gigantic 64 percent drop in profit for Q4 2008.
He continued to state that there will be a “continued decline for companines that make both consumer products and semiconductors.” Though, the companies that do both (such as Samsung and Intel) are “in a strong position.”

Why is it that every time a misspelling happens, someone automatically jumps overboard and screams bloody murder, as if it were a crime to misspell? I understand that this is a professional website and by all means it should be correct, but I hate it when I hear that every time one word is out of place, some text is fubar, or anything, the whole community goes on a rampant spree of a bunch of Nazi grammars. If it honestly is that much of a heinous act to have a misspelling here, than shot my dawn.
And in other news relating to the article... It's very nice to hear that it'll only take a total of 3-years for the industry to recover. One can only hope the U.S. gets the cue and stops giving out more bailouts which only delay the inevitable. "Roles Eyes"

I'm not hating and in fact it's the only misspelling I have pointed out. I just thought Moth was funny. I didn't attack anything. Just being silly. I didn't make any threats to give up my subscription or anything and in fact when attacks are made against articles and posters to the articles because of grammer and misspellings I come to their defense.
Don't ever take any of my posts seriously unless it's about the USA, Freedom, Racism (because I hate racists), Guns, Netbooks, StarTrek, Star Wars, Superman, Princess Leias' brass bikini scenes, The Resurrection of Packard Bell computers in the USA, Workers Unions, Politics, Toilets, Spinache, Burger King Whoppers, South Park, The US Army, and Family Guy.

My apologies. It wasn’t my intention to single you out of everyone else, but I have noticed a trend on here where people will just totally take the whole situation out of control and start a whole flame war on here because of it. Again, sorry for making it seem like I was just singling you out, as it appears that way. However, I was trying to be more general with what I’ve seen throughout the past few months with post regarding to articles, such as this.

I agree man I really don't like hanging in the forums because of people making petty attacks and even suggestion you make if they don't agree they put you down. I have no problem with being corrected, I have no problems with others points of view. People don't need to go out of their way to be little you. By telling you that you don't know what your talking about. By calling others Noobs, Even if it's a misstake just ignore it and post what you believe to be the right answer.
That's what pissed me off in the forum was being corrected by the moderators. Telling me I was wrong and why and I knew they were wrong or partially correct. They should have just moved on and made suggestions on solving issues. I used to love to hang out in the Free Clinic. Granted I was left alone on my last stint in the Free Clinic but how long will that last.
People have turned into Aholes. I see it on the City Bus everyday. I'm a driver here in Phoenix. People threaten to kill me because I tell them they can't bring their .99Cent cup of soda on the bus. They threaten to kill me hell I've been assulted because we are not allowed to give free rides or allow passengers to ride without full fare. It's a federal crime to assult a transit worker.
What I'm getting at is people are lot more likely to lose control these days. People are nolonger disciplined.

So Moth Taiwan Semiconductor company is the last of it's kind? And does this company employ moths to produce it's chips? Or is the company mascott a moth or do they worship the japanese moth god Mothrah?
Or am I completely wrong and it's just a misspelling? Hopefully it's not a misspelling because I like the idea of a moth company...
