Want more Twitter followers? The formula is pretty simple and straightforward. Just become famous, be a little bit loony, run rampant through the talk show circuit, and voila, you'll have thousands of followers in no time. It seems to be working for Charlie Sheen, star of Two and a Half Men, who opened a verified Twitter account that attracted 50,000 followers before he even posted his first tweet.
He now has 800,000 followers, and climbing, and it hasn't even been 24 hours. That includes yours truly. Why? Because of tweets likes this:
"Just got invited to do the Nancy Grace show... I'd rather go on a long road trip with Chuck Lorre in a '75 Pacer...."
Or maybe it's because of the 1989 flick "Major League," one of the greatest sports comedies ever made. Or because he's a train wreck waiting to happen, and you know how hard it is to take your eyes off one.
Whatever the reason, if you're a Twitter user and want to follow the real Charlie Sheen, the self-proclaimed "unemployed winner," you can so so at @charliesheen.

I like Charlie Sheen but I wouldn't follow him on Twitter for all the cocaine in Columbia. At this point in his life he needs to #STFU and go back into rehab to get his life straightened out.
