Yup. I NEED a 64 core, five gigahertz computer with 256 gigs of DDR3 2100 RAM and six of the fastest SSDs on the market in RAID0. Why? Because I need a real man's calculator! That's why!!!

I doubt BIOS will ever disappear, in reality, they'll just become more akin to bootloaders.

Tablets and Phones still have "BIOS" in a strange sense, but more as embedded bootloading or on-boot settings.
