Those of you rocking Team CoD t-shirts rather than Team Battlefield gear, you'll be pleased to know that Activision is getting ready to release Call of Duty: Black Ops II. We know this not because of a rumor or whispers in the wind, but because an official pre-order page by Activision popped up in the U.K. advertising that the upcoming game will start shipping November 13, 2012.
"Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare," Activision explains on its pre-order website.
The site isn't fleshed out with images and videos, and is instead littered with "Coming Soon" placeholders, but according to a report in USA Today, Activision plans to air the game's first official trailer tonight on TNT during a break in the NBA playoffs. In the meantime, you can poke around the site here, provided someone at Activision doesn't pull the plug.

Wow, graphics look like an old PS one game... this is disappointing.
Bet the title screen still says "Press 'B' to start"
Well, at least I can get another couple of years out of my current PC.

There are three things that are guaranteed to happen every year: your birthday, taxes, and a new COD game. Im not excited about it but I will probably end up buying it if I can get it at a discount on steam.

You know what...It kind of looks like a new game. Of course we'll need more than a trailer to know for sure but this clip is kind of surprising.

I remember when expansion packs weren't branded as fully-featured successors. Call of Duty's system is kind of like branding Quake II: Ground Zero or Half-Life: Opposing Force as full sequels.
The market will always be there, though, and they're gonna ride it out to the bitter end.

$60 for another recycled game. I can't believe how many people they sucker into reaching into their pockets for more cash. I haven't ever gotten into CoD games and I don't care to. I'll stick with BF3.
They're up to about 3 new titles every 12 months? Craziness.

Hopefully it's a brand new or at least a tweaked engine for "a new generation of warfare." If not, count me out. Can't keep shelling out for the same game over and over.

just saw the trailer and the graphics have never looked worse in a cod game, same 6 year old engine... and WTF maximum pc, don't waste time posting COD news, sure they generate lots of comments cuz of the flame wars they sparkle, but stop promoting console titles on a pc user website

They can until people stop buying it. We'll probably see Modern Suckfare 5 and Black Oops 4 before the next major console release.
