BenQ Adds Two LED Monitors to EW Series
If you're in the market for a 24-inch LED monitor, BenQ has two new models it hopes you'll consider, including the EW2430 and EW2430V.
Both displays sport a 3,000:1 native contrast ratio (claimed at least), BenQ's proprietary Senseye Human Vision technology, and true 8-bit color panels. Other shared features include a 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (for whatever that dubious spec is worth!), a pair of HDMI ports, headphone jack, audio line in and out, a single D-Sub connector, a DVI-D connector, a built-in four-port USB hub, dual 2W speakers, and PIP/PBP functionality,
Setting the EW2430V model apart is a component (RCA) jack. Both this and the non-V model will be available in Europe and Asia Pacific after January 2011, followed by a worldwide release "thereafter." No word on price.

Added parenthetical asides about the two contrast ratio specs. We will be reminding all Maximum staffers and external bloggers about the dubiousness of various display specs -- specs which vendors claim at their own risk of looking deceptive or possibly even tech-ignorant.
