I want to help give money to see this game come to life, which I still plan on doing. The sad thing though is that it's for the PC? I wish it was on say... the Ps3? ;)

Neal is a genius as an author. I'm happy to see him exploring in this direction. I'd love to see his ideas from his books come in the form of RPGs or MMO. Plus, how can you not love a guy who named his media company after the awesome Subotai from the greatest movie of all time, Conan the Barbarian. I know they're spelled differently, but have the same mongolian meaning.

I'll support this guy, I love to see a new game with a very unique and stylish sword fighting :)

Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a real practice sword?

or even better, my own invention, kid friendly swords:

Nothing like REALLY whacking someone with a blunt instrument!

The only thing more difficult than learning kenjutsu is finding an instructor to teach it to you.

I'm practicing Kendo every Sunday. I guess it really depends where you live. I'm just lucky that there's a Kendo club where I live. At the same time, there are classes for Kenjitsu, but it's a bit far. Either way, learn Kendo first and then Kenjitsu.

kendo =/= kenjitsu

kendo is point scoring with bokken (bambo sword)
kenjitsu is learning to use a real sword in a war like manner

ddimick

I have studied kendo, which is relatively easy to find instruction for. Kenjitsu is another matter. I'm not so sure kendo would be a good prerequisite for it, either.

Sorry, but you didn't "invent" boffer swords. They've been around since the 90s. Also, way to miss the point by using the old Guitar Hero argument: why not just learn real guitar?

Can you get a real practice sword for less than $25? That's the funding level required. :)

I do like your invention - cool.

yup, swords (and not cheap flismy plastic either) can be had for $10 or less.
