Asus G73 Gaming Laptop Available in the States
In the market for a gaming notebook? If so, Asus' G73 laptop might be the steal of the year, albeit it's still early. Nevertheless, we haven't been this stoked about an affordable gaming notebook since Gateway wowed us with its P7811-FX machine.
Those looking for battery life first and performance second need not apply. But if you're into desktop replacements, the G73's spec sheet will certainly oblige. Inside the 17.3-inch laptop sits an Intel Core i7 720QM quad-core processor, and that's just the beginning. You'll also find 8GB of DDR3 memory, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 graphics with a 1GB frame buffer, and a 500GB hard drive spinning at 7200RPM.
The G73 also boasts a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution, DVD burner, 4 USB ports, VGA and HDMI, an 8-in-1 card reader, 2.0MP, 8-cell battery, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Ready for the best part? It's available now from Newegg $1,450.

This is quite a smart release on the market and everyone seems to be thrilled of its resources to support advanced and high processing demanding games. I for one would buy this laptop for other applicative advantages that it has proved to own. When working on a computer on a daily basis, you get more and more interesting in buying software that will ease your work, exe file extension installing and other activities alike. Right now, it depends on what one uses it for, though no one would turn down some relaxing gaming sessions.

It is lighting quick, well built and I haven't had a problem yet (nearly 7 months). 2 close friends also sport the G73 and they too have not had issues (other then the fact that we couldn't find a case or backpack to fit this monster). We finally found a backpack from Slappa that fit it like a glove and seems to be exellent quality. Now, I'm traveling regularly with this. Other then being heavy, it's perfect!

Spend an extra 500 dollars and upgrade this gaming beast...with a lightnin-fast SSD! You can use a 256MB Intel or OCZ and really speed up random-access and boot times... ;)

On xotic pc you can get it with dual 500gb hard drives at 7200rpm with blu ray reader for 1,594$ or you can get it without blu ray for 1,500$ and both come with 2 year global warranty for free and also comes with a gaming mouse and a backpack for free.

For only an extra $94, there really isn't a good reason not to get the one with the Blu Ray drive. Blu Ray is one of the main reasons for including 1920x1080 resolution in the first place and that is a very reasonable price.
