Ok, I'll bite...Where the hell are they getting all that bandwidth from?  Z68 only has enough bandwidth to feed half of one PCIe 3.0 x16 port.

According to the linked article the board uses a secondary chip (PLX PEX8608) to add more PCI-E Lanes. However according to PLX's own website that particular chip is only PCI-E 2.0 Compliant.

Agreed!  Am I waiting for PCIe 3.0?  Yes, but does it make sense to place it on a board which can't possibly support even close to its full potential?  No!  I suppose the benefit is its backwards compatibility with 2.0 and there have been instances where SSD based PCIe 2.0 cards have seen some impressive performance gains in a 3.0 slot.  I still don't think it's worth it though.
