Armed Robbers Jack 100 Copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops
Two men toting hand guns walked into a Baltimore area Gamestop and stole 100 copies of Call of Duy: Black Ops the night before it launched, according to a report in The Baltimore Sun.
The robbery took place just as Gamestop employees were getting ready to lock up and head home. That's when two men wielding semi-automatic handguns barged in an stole four cases packed with the Black Ops games, as well as some cash and game consoles. During the heist, two customers walked into the store, who were then led to the storage area (along with the employees) at gunpoint.
Black Ops retails for $60 pop, meaning the two men walked away with over $6,000 in goods and cash. And for you job seekers out there, this is actually the second time a Hartford County Gamestop store has been robbed in the past three weeks. Just something to think about.

Come on... they had to do something after the first robbery. The latest I've read about security systems was that phones can now be (or are?) equipped with sensors which scan the air for signs of gun powder and other hazardous materials. The cost was about $1 per device =D Having one such sensor to alert the police of the situation would change everything. Even the simplest thing - a panic button near the feet of the sales reps could be activated without the thieves noticing what's going on. Now the only thing I need to do is find out where they'll be selling those discounted games and consoles LOL! Ebay?

presumably, gamestop would inventory the missing games, get the included CD keys blacklisted and red flagged so that anyone who tries to use one gets arrested and charged with at least recieving stolen property. glad to live in the golden age of tracking numbers and CD keys :)

It's probably less of a fine than torrenting the game. Honestly why have a captcha it does nothing just get rid of all of the bullshit and they probably won;t even targewt this site honestly if I was a spammer I would specifically target sites with captchas and other annoying shit.

No way semi-automatic hanguns! Nearly every handgun is a semi-auto. That's like calling a rifle an assault rifle. Just a term created by the media to further demonize firearms.

An "assault rifle" is EXTREMELY different from a rifle.
Under "Rifles" you have:
Bolt action rifles (Springfield 1903)
Gas powered semi-auto rifles (M1 Garand)
Gas selective fire rifles (M2 Carbine)
These weapons are all designated as rifles because they are capable of either one shot per trigger pull as well as having high power rounds (sans the M1/M2 Carbine having a low powered .30 calabre round). The exception to the "one pull of the trigger" rule is the M2 Carbine being able to fire fully automatic or semi auto. However, the M2 is not designated as an Assault Rifle.
An assault rifle has these traits:
1. It must be an individual weapon with provision to fire from the shoulder
2. It must be capable of selective fire
3. It must have an intermediate-power cartridge: more power than a pistol but less than a standard rifle or battle rifle
4. Its ammunition must be supplied from a detachable magazine
5. And it should at least have a firing range of 300 meters
So AGAIN, step away from Call of Duty and educate yourself on firearms.

Semi-automatic isn't a term created by the media to "scare us." It denotes the trigger action of the hand gun. A Semi-automatic gun means with every pull of the trigger, a bullet will fire and the weapon will automatically cycle a bullet into the chamber and cock itself but require another pull of the trigger in order to fire another round out of the weapon.
You can guess what automatic does.
There are also Single-action Semi-automatics (Colt m1911) and Double-Action Semi-automatics (Glock 17). And obviously Single-action and Double-action revolvers but that's not part of the discussion.
If you want to know more about guns and quit spouting more dribble, check out wikipedia or google and find a gun manual.

The calibre of the round used also denotes automatic Vs. Semi-automatic does it not?

The short answer is both Yes and No.
Some may be more (stereotyped) easily recognized as having a full-auto variant but the truth is just about everything can be adapted to fire both full and semi. It’s more of a matter of manufacturers having produced a firearm with enough popularity that the full and semi automatic models are recognized by non gun enthusiasts.
9mm Parabellum is probably the single most common Pistol round, that can be found with both semi and fully automatic variants. However, the 9mm Parabellum can also be fired from Revolvers. That being said, there are many “CARBINE” style rifles (Beretta PX Storm, Hi Point Carbine just to name two) that may “look” like assault rifles but are classified as Carbines – and shoot typical Pistol Rounds. 9mm Para, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP.
Yes, I love my guns! and my 2nd Amendment rights!!

no because a Desert Eagle can be chambered in .44 or .50 calibre and it fires Semi-automatic.
Granted, few people can fire it more than once or twice in quick succession and hit anything.
Basically you can chamber any gun to use any calibre round. IE: people chamber M4 Carbines to use .22 rounds because .22 is cheaper to buy.

$60 x 100 = $6000, not $600.
But you are right, it was over $600.
Just saying.
