im a hardcore pc buff, built my own rig, latest os, decent hardware, yada yada yada now for the harsh truth windows machines will always be at the most risk for everything. This will continue to be the case untill another platform becomes as wide spread as windows machines.  With a roughly 90% world using windows machines they will always be the most vulnerable.  thats a fact jack!

Yeah but the article is talking about advertising, not system vulnerabilities to malware, which has nothing to do with what hardware or software you run.

Not to mention of course that Microsoft has the largest market share.

Ntldr

I was thinking the same thing as you were.  Microsoft has 80%+ of the market but if you look at that graph that they showed they have only close to a half of a percent more than the other OS groups.  So percentage wise of its users Micrsoft has less.  Numbers of people maybe higher but the percentage rate is lower.
