It'd be funny if Apple adds multitasking going from OS3 to OS4 while Microsoft removes multitasking going from Windows Mobile 6.5 to Windows Phone 7...

I can't wait for this to hit the Iphone. Moronic apple fritters will complain about the battery dying in a few hours because they have just about every app running in the background. BUT, there is a solution. Just replace the battery with a fully charged one! OH-wait. You can't. Sorry. So you will be tethered to that wall charger just like Mr. Handjobs intended for you to do. You do what he tells you. You got that? Now be a good fritter and go buy the Ipad.

Its called Blackra1n you run that then you install cydia and rock, search for a program called SBSettings which contains a process killer and an option to see your memory usage, then you install a program called backgrounder and set any programs you want to stay on automatically and any others you can have backgrounded by holding the home button till it comes up with the dummy message "This shiznits gunna stay on fool." (I joke)/ "Backgrounding enabled". now you have backgrounding on your phone and can kill tasks easily using SBsettings to keep your memory usage in check and your phone running fast. oh and then you install Installous and appsync so you can pirate any iphone app ever made :/ pwnded not advocating that you do it just saying that you can.

I like the idea of multitasking. That's why I have a notebook.

I can see the commercials now, proclaiming that running multiple apps at the same time is the best thing ever! And it's only available on the iPhone...-= I don't want to be dead, I want to be alive! Or... a cowboy! =-

I thought they were only going to have multi-task in the newer upcoming iPhones - I don't know, called the iPhone 3GM or something. That'll be cool though. I never saw a need for multitasking when I had my iTouch, but it should be more beneficial for iPhone users.
