AOC's 23-inch Aire Pro IPS Monitor is Thin, Affordable
The newest edition to AOC's AireLED Series is a 23-inch monitor with an IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel and a price tag that won't necessarily scare off budget conscious shoppers. AOC's new Aire Pro i2353Ph hits retail at $199, and with 23 inches of screen real estate, this is one of the least expensive IPS monitors in the market with a large enough panel to not feel like you're sacrificing size for quality.
Most sub-$200 IPS monitors sport a 21.5-inch screen, though there are exceptions, or at least one exception -- the Asus ML239H 23-inch IPS monitor. Otherwise, AOC's jumping into uncrowded territory.
The i2353Ph is a sleek brushed metallic monitor that's also super slim at just 9.2mm. It has dual-HDMI ports, a D-Sub connector, two built-in speakers, and soft touch controls. Display specs include a 1920x1080 native resolution, WLED backlight, 50,000,000:1 contrast ratio (dynamic, of course), 5ms response time, 250 cd/m2 brightness, and a 178/178 viwing angle.
"The Aire Pro is a high-end, high performance LED IPS panel display that is extremely versatile and ideal for both home and work settings," said Robert Velez, AOC Marketing Manager. "Along with its award-winning design and excellent image quality, the Aire Pro also offers environmentally friendly features that help to reduce energy consumption and costs."
AOC's i2353Ph is available now at several national retailers.

5ms is fine for gaming. I'd say wait till black friday and see if you can snag a deal then; I've seen the 22" Dell Ultrasharp as low as $200 before. If you can, stick with IPS screens, the color and viewing angles really are much better than TN. My $.02
