Is there any word on the street about what kind of specs we can expect from AMD's 8000 series? After all, it just might be a low price family of the present video cards..

Can't wait, my 6850 needs to be retired.

When my hardware becomes the new minimum system requirements for games, then I'll consider upgrading to either this series (or maybe the next depending on the circumstances). Until then, I can still run games just fine (with a few hiccups here and there). However, I wouldn't mind seeing the numbers when they get close to release just to get an idea of how much improvement each "tier" was than the last.

I have a budget referb 560 and a athlon 2x4 3000mhz unlocked L3 and slite oc to 3300mhz and on my 1080p27" it will run anything on high settings today and it is a 3year old system and will not be replaced for a long time to come i stoped chasing high end parts along time ago

ROFL. It can barely run Minecraft. Far Cry 3 would choke up on it, so would any CPU heavy title.

Another year filled with shitty 7yr old ports, with only some exceptions. Looks like my 680 will suffice until Maxwell.

I own two 7970s, and do they ever do the job. AMD did right by getting ATI.
