AMD Catalyst 12.1 Final and 12.2 Preview Drivers Now Available for Download
From preview to stable, AMD put the finishing touches on its Catalyst 12.1 driver package and has made it available as a stable download. Curiously missing in the release notes is implicit support for AMD's new Radeon HD 7970 graphics card, or any of the other unreleased 7000 Series, and the same applies to the 12.2 preview release, which also just became available.
In the release notes for the 12.2 preview package, AMD says Radeon HD 7900 users should keep using the 8.921.2 RC11 driver found here, and only 7900 owners.
As for the 12.1 release, AMD claims to have resolved several issues in Windows 7 and Windows Vista. Dirt 2 no longer exhibits stuttering when run in DX9 mode (Windows 7) and ejecting a disc during Blu-ray or DVD playback using WinDVD no longer causes the system to crash (Windows Vista), to name just two of them.
Feature highlights of the 12.2 driver package include enhancements to AMD Eyefinity 2.1, additional resolution support, dynamic configuration changes, HydraVision enhancements, and Profile Manager improvements.
So, to sum it up, if you own an AMD graphics Radeon HD 6000 Series card or below, grab the Catalyst 12.1 driver package, or if you're feeling adventurous, install the 12.2 preview suite. For those of you rocking a Radeon HD 7970, 8.921.2 RC11 is the driver package you're looking for. Links to all three below:

Thanks AMD for finally getting around to fixing flaws in Dirt 2...a game no one even plays anymore. Way to be on the ball.
This is why I'm going Nvidia for my next build.

Tried 12.1 and they are pretty bad, at least in the games I play. Texture issues and stuttering in BF3 and Skyrim that weren't there in the last ones. Maybe it's just me.

I have 2 HD5850's. There were some issues in the last drivers like face flicker every once in awhile in Skyrim but over all not too big of an issue. BF3 ran smooth no issues at all. Now I'm getting artifacts and textures flickering in and out everywhere in both games. Kind of annoying.
