What do you all think is that worth $200?

Hey a PC is a PC;  id get that for my hypothetical kid as a "starter pc".

I think it kinda is 'the' shittiest netbook out there :P
After all, it does run on a pull string.

A nice idea but I think it would be better if Amazon donated an equal share to the 1PC per child thing, in other words, you buy one for yourself or as a donation and amazon donates one on your behalf.

You login screen is a picture of Elmo (or Barney if you swing that way)  I'm not saying it should look like anything you would pick up at Worst Buy, but please.....

Problem with this, is they are not donating them, you are. They are just making double the profit.

no you don't understand.

You spend $400 for /2/ laptops. One they donate, one they ship to you. Or you can just spend $200 to donate one and not get your own. Hell even the crappiest Netbook will set you back $350 so its a steel

You obviously didn't understand what I said. If you are buying the laptops, they are not the ones donating them, you are. They are simply selling the computers and making the money from it. So if they can get you to buy 2 of them with their little scheme of "Helping kids in unfortunate countrys". They will, and they will be rolling in the money.

no your the one not following if "just donating" a XO cost $200 anf "buy one, send one" cost $400 then when you drop 400 your buing one FOR yourself and one "for the kid in affrica" their not making a extra $200 off you.
