AIDA64 1.85 Update Plays Nice with Bulldozer
There's a new version of the AIDA64 diagnostic and benchmarking utility available (v1.85) that the developers say is now fully optimized for AMD's upcoming FX Series Bulldozer processors. The latest build also ships with optimized benchmarks for AMD's A-Series Llano desktop and mobile APUs, as well as VIA's QuadCore and Nano X2 processors.
Added processor support is just the tip of a very big iceberg. Other new features include advanced multi-device Logitech LCD support, preliminary support for AMD Trinity processors, better support for socket FM1 motherboards, temperature/fan speed/voltage correction, GPU details for Nvidia GeForce 510 and GTX 580M graphics chips, OpenGL 4.2 support, and wider support of temperature and fan monitoring.
AIDA64 is the successor to the now defunct Everest utility, which was discontinued in November 2010 following FinalWire's acquisition of Lavalys. Pricing starts at $40 (Extreme Edition) with free trials available.
