Adult Film Studio Declares War on BitTorrent Users
The largest single BitTorrent suit to date doesn't belong to the MPAA or any of Hollywood's major film studios, and instead originates from Axel Braun Productions, a pornography outfit targeting 7,098 John Doe plantiffs, XBizNewswire.com reports.
Their sin? Illegally downloading and sharing "Batman XXX: A Porn Parody." For doing so, Axel Braun, acting as a one man wolf pack, has now waged war with anyone who pirates his porn and had some strong words to go along with the current lawsuit.
"F*** 'em all," Braun said. "People don't realize that when you pirate a movie it hurts all of the people who work very hard to get it produced -- from the cast to the production assistants to the makeup artists. These are people who live paycheck to paycheck, and with 'Batman XXX,' that was a film I financed myself. So we are going after every one of them who pirates our content."
After reading his comments, we can't shake the image of Butthead saying, "Heh, heh... Hey Beavis, he said 'work very hard.'" But we digress. The real point here is that Braun believes that going on a legal rampage against file sharers is a "new form of revenue for adult companies." Really? We suppose that would make him the Rambus of the adult film industry, only Rambus has never actually come out and said it so plainly.

If you have to watch more than 5 to 10 minutes of porn to get aroused, you probably ought to go see a doctor.

Why do people download porn. I watched this on a free streaming site a few weeks ago. Well when I read about it on Joblo.com. I have never laughed so hard as when you see a guy in joker makeup getting a blowjob. Anyway, why download porn at all, its not like you watch it over after the first time. All though this would be great to play at parties, huh maybe I will go buy it.

hmmm..didn't know people paid for specific title these days. I always thought people these days paid for subscriptions to access the various sites, etc. ...and I don't know who owns the Batman license, but I'm 99.99% sure he never obtained rights to use the term "Batman". Whoever owns the Batman license should go after this guy and sue the *hit out of him.

As it's considered a Batman parody they don't need to get approval from Warner Brothers or DC Comics.

Didn't anyone learn from the RIAA and "the Hurt Locker"? They spent hundreds of millions in lawyer fees and got back what, 200 grand (at most)? Did they slow down bit torents? No. Did they look foolish and get really bad publicity? Yes. Are the folks they are going after really, really rich? Hardly. Is this a great way to hemmorage money? Absolutely.
Bit torrents do less damage than AnyDVD and CloneDVD does in letting you copy a DVD. Cannot get it online? Rent and copy.

People actually PAY for porn?
let's see...
- over-dubbed moans (with bad lip-synch)? check!
- endless looping of sequences? check!
- expansive silicon valleys (and mountains)? check!
- "actors" who don't even pretend they're acting anymore? check!
I'm sorry, but there are no incentives for acquiring these cultural products against cash. There are already too may talented amateurs on the market who do a better (and more honest) job for free...
