Acer's Aspire 5755 Notebooks Wants to Tackle Everyday Tasks While Looking Good Doing It
Acer's U.K. operations today announced the Aspire 5755 notebook built for all around performance, including multimedia and gaming chores. It sports a Sandy Bridge foundation, and because "design is now a big part of the equation" when talking about computers, Acer dressed its newest notebook up with a glossy cover featuring "an attractive stripy pattern modulated in several color options," including brown, black, red, and blue.
Sandy Bridge processor options run the gamut from a Core i3 2310M processor up to a Core i7 2820QM, with several CPUs in between. The Aspire 5755 supports up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, has a 15.6-inch HD (1366x768) LED-backlit display, Nvidia GeForce GT 540M graphics with Optimus technology, up to a 1TB hard drive, multi-card reader, 8X DVD burner (optional Blu-ray reader), 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, HDMI, optional Intel Wireless Display (WiDi), Dolby Advanced Audio v2, multi-gesture touchpad, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
The Aspire 5755 is shipping now in the U.K. for around $1,445. No word on when it will land stateside or for how much.
