Acer Readies Android Tablets for Fourth Quarter Release
Like so many others, Acer is gearing up to join the tablet frenzy before the end of 2010 and aiming for a fourth quarter release. And not just a single model, Acer plans on launching two tablets in Q4, one measuring 7 inches and the other checking in at 10 inches.
Both tablets will sport an ARM processor inside, though details are sparse. If you put a gun to our head and made us guess, we'd surmise it will come clocked at least 1GHz. We'd also be shocked if it didn't come with a microSD card slot and USB support. All this will be driven by Google's Android platform, and specifically Android 2.2.
Acer already offers a pair of color eBook readers, but the tablets will set themselves apart by integrating multimedia capabilities and support for Adobe Flash.
No word yet on how much either of these will cost.

Y'know I wish all these companies would stop announcing plans to release an Android tablet and would JUST DO IT ALREADY.
