Sounds like they're doing something new for the sake of just doing something. Enormous waste of time, money, and resources..!

I don't know that mixing large quantities of alcohol, rednecks and 3D technology makes a whole lot of sense. If everyone is already seeing double, why would they want to put on 3d glasses. Shoulda stuck with tennis.

Everyone here in dallas knows that the new stadium is called the deathstar. As long as Jerry owns the Cowboys they will fail.

"It’s always been a puzzle why a replay of an event you’ve just witnessed in real-time is necessary to validate the experience..."
This is silly. You've been reading too much Kierkegaard and not watching enough football. Replays don't "validate the experience," they let you enjoy it twice, and with more time to take in the details.

I'm sorry, but I had to reply to this. Throwing some esoteric philosopher into the mix doesn't validate your opinion. I doubt many people here are familiar with his work, which is something I'm sure you countedon. Kierkegaard didn't support your point. He supported freedom of choice, and surely would not have opposed this screen on moral grounds. Arguing that he preferred concrete human experience over some abstract form of experience is completely moot, since this would imply going down to the field and playing. Whether one watches on a screen or watches the field, they are still basically experiencing football vicariously. So you just sound like a complete tool on both counts.

Blurry image, double vision, potential nausea, and a huge headache afterwards? It's just like being there!
Two drink minimum anyone?

Unless the cheerleaders are going to be in 3D on the big screen, I don't see much of the point...
