Seriously?!@# who cares. MaximumPC should stop reporting the entire alienware line. they are nothing but crap computers. and the manufacturer does not stand behind their product. buy a product that will last and work properly. btw they don't update their drivers either. video drivers are the worst ones they don't support.
in case you can't tell i'm speaking from experience.
overpriced crapware!!!

They post because Alienware pays them money.

Alienware has a 0.5/10 6-month rating. That's astonishingly bad.

It's a Dell company, what do you expect, I wish they would've never sold out to Dell of all companies, worst company ever! And I am also speaking from experience, I used to do tech support for Dell, believe me, that was one of the worst choices in my life to work for Dell!

Also, the original founders of Alienware left to form Origin PC. It's a completely different company. Even back when Alienware was supposedly "good", my experience with them was far from it. Missing parts, untested motherboards that crashed, support agents who lied - this was in 1999. I ended up rebuilding the system with an Intel chipset and taking a loss.

Who gets video drivers from the hardware manufacturer anyway? Just get them from nvidia/ati/intel, whatever it is... The only time that I've seen that not work was on a Dell with integrated graphics - for some reason, I had to use Dell's shitty, outdated driver.

tried using nvidia drivers. won't work. something to do with the onboard video and the discrete card. nvidia driver made system crash. one updated video driver and then that was it. for a $3000 laptop that's pretty shitty support. never mind the rest of the issues.
but thanks for your input.

Nothing for the little guy yet, huh? Well, I guess they are waiting for some dual core Sandy Bridge action to be released.

Wait...
That sounds bad...

Hey!

The Intel 2450M is a Sandy Bridge processor. Still looking towards it's Ivy Bridge equivalent. :)
