Survey: iPhone Still Tops the Competition
As if Apple needed yet another pat on the back, J.D. Power and Associates named the company's iPhone as the winner of its 2010 smartphone customer satisfaction survey.
It wasn't even a close victory, but one in which Apple dominated the competition -- including HTC, Nokia, RIM, Palm, and Samsung -- by coming out first in almost all categories, save for "battery function."
In four out of the five categories, respondents said the iPhone was "among the best," while every other competitor scored no higher than an "average" mark, often times ranking as "below average." In terms of points, Apple scored 810 out of a possible 1000, enough for a comfortable lead over RIM, which took second place with 741 points.

Shouldn't the survey for best smartphone/customer satisfaction of 2010 be further along in the year, like say October or November in order to actually be valid? They don't call the World Series Champion in June do they? Seems very premature to me. I guess in a few weeks they will start the survey for 2011.

But they crown superbowl champs in February. That being said I agree with you, for something that's actually dependant on the year (unlike Superbowl XLV) it would make sense for it to happen later in the year. Or even at the beginning of the following year.

Really? iPhone tops list?
So users like the often poor phone quality and the device's demand for a large data plan? One assumes these users have unlimited data and use their iPhone primarily as anything but a phone.
Smartphone? Perhaps. Smartusers? Not so much...
