Wish i could get the two minutes back that I lost reading this article.  Nothing very "maximum" about this tupperware.

Or, for very little extra, you could buy a box that DOES have the USB connector and electronics, and actually use the damn things.....

I have a whole lot of old HDs sitting in that box of electronics, and they look really happy there.  Why blow 50 bucks on little plastic drawers for them when I could just buy a new 500 GB HD for that?

I would buy this, except the only hdd's I have lying around are 5+ year old IDE drives which have a resale value of less than $10

It's rare to see something this pointless.

Nice looking drawer. But it's almost like swatting a fly with a sledgehammer.

I just keep the boxes and antistatic bags my new drives come in and recycle those for old drive storage.

A piece of masking tape and a permanent marker are all I need to label them. Maxtor is particularly nice in that the all the advertising is on a wraparound sleeve. The actual box is just a nice plain classy red.

I guess the StoraDrive box will appeal to the people who are always buying those fussy little plastic drawer thingys that you can get at an office supply store. You know, the ones that help them stay organized for a month before they accumulate so much junk that they're soon abandoned and end up gathering dust somewhere?

I have a 400GB SATA drive from an old external hard drive, and a 750GB SATA drive that might work if I zero-write it. If I really wanted it, the 8GB IDE drive from an original Xbox.

I have half a dozen 40 - 80 Gb IDE hard drives that are useless because I don't have any IDE ports on my computer.

Why Spend $10 to hold 2 hard drives when the same amount of cash will buy 40 video tape cases that work just as good???

I like the idea that they're stackable and you only buy a single tray but I hate the fact that you can't connect them to your computer without taking it apart.
