Rumor: Epic Looking to Resurrect Urban-Theme MMO APB

Realtime Worlds has already pulled the plug on APB, but Epic Games have given fans a glimmer of hope that the urban-themed MMO might live once again. The developer was forced to cease operations after less than three months on the market due to financial pressures beyond their control, but the underlying Epic technology that fueled the games engine caught the attention of all the right people.
“Mark absolutely loves APB, and everyone here loved what they saw” said an Epic representative. “We’ve got our hands full of Gears of War 3, Bullet Storm, and the recently announced Project Sword. If any talks like that are going on, then they would be confidential”.
That’s far from a confirmation, but is a rather softball denial as well. If Epic did buy up APB it will be interesting to see if they end up reviving the game, or simply applying the IP to a new project (as if it’s worth anything at this point).

great idea...poor execution and design. I played it for about a week, and that was enough for me.

They could just be after tech within the game such as the custom tatoo, car, and clothing engine.
