Photo Awesome #9: Gordon's Kung-Fu Stance
It's Friday, which means two things:
1. I will be spending the weekend ruthlessly slaying zombies in Dead Rising 2 (I encourage you to do the same), and...
2. It's Photo Awesome Time!
Deviating from past posts that feature a ton of images, we thought we'd keep it simple this Friday. What's that? Itching for a new wallpaper? How about one featuring our very own Gordon Mah Ung flinging mobos like they're frikkin' ninja stars?

Quite the Kung-Fu stance
Consider your desktop Gordon...ified (botched that one). You're welcome.
Have a great weekend!

I would like to have one panoramic of the Lab - for my 6048x1080 desktop. that would be very cool to have.

I agree with some other folks .. who wants to taint the desktop of their MAXIMUM PC with JPEG artifacts that bad? They scream "average desktop user with no taste for visual quality"! Please, *please* provide a high quality version.

How about making a series of these wallpapers featuring members of the staff and some of the cool gear you have laying around the MPC office and lab? And maybe make them available in different resolutions so that everyone from laptop users to Hi-Res addicts can use them. Those of us with Windows 7 can set them to shuffle as often as we like. What say you?

First up should be Nathan's fanny-back-pack-thing pic from the first issue of Maximum Tech! You know someone who wears that isn't afraid of anything...

What you can't just enjoy the free image that was originally produced for an article that was never meant for high res viewing? It's not exactly the freaking Mona Lisa for crying out loud. I can't believe the amount of crying of that stupid image of Gordon kicking Steve Jobs ass.
By the way, I can only imagine that after cutting up Steve Jobs with his throwing motherboards, he performed the coup de gras Enter the Dragon style by putting his feet on either side of Jobs' head and twisting his whole body to break the head off.

You guys are called MAXIMUM PC; what's with the shoddy JPEG compression then, especially for a desktop wallpaper? The red text looks horrible and there are noticeable compression artifacts around the motherboards...(Ugh...I've been spending too much time on an imageboard I frequent reviewing and screening images...)

No. It's not you I completely agree. The artifacting in this shot shows through in a nasty way. Maybe host a PNG version for us image snobs.

Ahhhh that makes a great desktop image. I hate dark desktops. Hard to see everything, at least that's how it is for me.
Luv ya Gordon, you kick ass and take names. And thanks for saving the world from the Evil Dark Lord of the Sith Steve Jobs.
