I'm no tree hugger but why is it everyone has tunnel vision with improvments like this? So its only a couple volts who cares thats not gona appear on your electricle bill. Maybe not. BUT take those couple volts and multiply it by the million/billions of people who have or will be getting ddr3. couple volts just turned into a whole lot.

the difference in power consumption and heat production on memory at 1.35v vs. 1.5v is negligible when compared to other components of laptops and even less in desktops. This may sound all warm and fuzzy but it really doesn't do squat when compared to changing a CPU or a dedicated GPU. Unless you're using a netbook, you're not going to notice a difference.
