Red Dead Redemption PC Version Probably Just Regular Dead
If we were to compile a list of our very favorite things in this world, you'd find precisely two things near the very, very top: PCs and freaking cowboys. Sadly, it appears that – short of our increasingly ill-fated plan for a PC that's powered entirely by revolver duels at dawn – those two culture-defining staples will never cross paths. Red Dead Redemption released in 2010, you see, but gamers still haven't stopped clamoring for a PC version. Unfortunately, Rockstar's currently got its hands full with detectives of both the hard-boiled and 1947 varieties, and something has to give.
“We do know that, yes, there is just one title absent from our PC release plans – that game of course being Red Dead Redemption, and of course we’re well aware that some fans have been asking for it. All we can say is that whenever it is viable (technically, developmentally and business-wise) for us to release a game for PC (or any other particular platform) – we will and we usually do,” reads an entry on Rockstar's blog.
“Unfortunately, that is just not the case 100% of the time for all platforms. To PC gamers, we hope that between the Grand Theft Auto titles, and the forthcoming L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3, you’ll have plenty of great Rockstar action to enjoy.”
That sound? Nails. Right into a coffin. And the occupant? Hope. But hey, there's a bright side to even the darkest of events. Which is to say: Cougar Man is among the most terrifying things that's ever happened. For now, at least, we're safe.

It must be the money.
With mods like ICE Enhancer, why wouldn't Rockstar want to bring RDR to PC ...

Rockstar can go piss.
"All we can say is that whenever it is viable (technically, developmentally and business-wise) for us to release a game for PC (or any other particular platform)"
Or any other particular platform? You mean the consoles that have received every single one of your releases? Give me a break. I mean, it's not like the PC platform gave you your start or anything. Oh wait...
Tell you what Rockstar, keep your shitty ports and just stick to console trash. Have fun cranking out 2005 technological turds while we enjoy living in 2011.

I am used to this from companies like Rockstar. You see, we are a forgetable bunch. Go ahead and make your console ports exclusive to... Well... Consoles! My focus is The Sims, and Alice: Madness Returns... And maybe that upcoming Silent Hill: Downpour... So we will see. As for any PC cancellations, I am not surprized... But don't worry... There is always a free emulator for that kind of problem. Right? Right?
