PC Gaming Alliance Loses Microsoft and Nvidia, Promises to be More Active Going Forward
We bet you're wondering “hey, what's the PC Gaming Alliance been up to lately?” No? Because it does stuff sometimes, you know. Just, uh, not all that often. For instance, it recently swore in a new president. Oh, and it also, er, sort of lost the support of two of its biggest players: Microsoft and Nvidia. Whoops.
Speaking with Big Download, new president Matt Ployhar wouldn't elaborate as to why the two titans climbed down from the treehouse and took their “no consoles allowed” sign with them, but he did confirm their departure. However, he added that the particularly large pairs of shoes they left behind aren't in need of filling, saying that he doesn't believe the PCGA will be affected by Microsoft and Nvidia's absences.
He was also quick to add that the PCGA's through skulking around in the background. From now on, he said, the Alliance plans to be “active in trying to assist game developers, publishers and hardware companies make better PC games.”
All told, we like what we're hearing. But we're keeping our thumbs – our approval-displaying devices of choice – locked firmly in a neutral position until we see some action.
