To tell the truth, I liked Nathan's intro better than the video. Knifeguns! :D

(I did like the video too.)

Farcry 3: Trippin' Balls!

No...seriously.

Is that Origa I hear in the background music?

I'm already drunk and stoned (on a Wednesday night, ha) but even if I wasn't, I'd probably enjoy this trailer. For some reason it reminds me of Half Life 2. That's gotta be the G-man.

I really liked Far Cry 2, but a few dozen hours in, my saved game was corrupted (or something), and I'll be damned if I have to restart it (why does every game spend half an hour driving around doing nothing before you get to the core gameplay? makes replay a pain in the ass). I'd also probably wait until it was cheaper, just because I don't really trust any Ubisoft game to be worth full price with their bad ports and DRM.

Unbelievable trailer. I've never had any problems with Ubisoft DRM although I'd prefer it wasn't there. Certainly doesn't deter me from buying their games. And this one is most definitely going on my "must have" list.

I don't know what to think, Far cry 1 was nice but Far cry 2 was garbage (annoying hostile checkpoints all over the place, boring driving, addiciton to an annoying pill, bullet resistant ennemies...) but this trailer sure is good.

Now if only I could finish Far Cry 2 in anything above "baby-wet your pants" mode, I could then get really frustrated with this version.

You'd think that someone at MaxPC would be smart enough to embed videos that modern browsers can natively support. Or am I wrong?

Penterax

Worked fine for me on Firefox 10.

;)

Would you consider Chrome to be a modern browser? Cause I just watched it embedded in Chrome, no problem.

Hell, I just watched it in Opera no problem, and there's so much that normally doesn't work in Opera! ;) (I don't blame Opera for it, but it is annoying!)

The Corrupted One

That is trippy, seriously, those where the console graphics too (Holy Moley), even if the PC graphics are the slightest bit better, the game will look amazing.

And if it's anything like the first Crysis, (or Far Cry) it will be worth it.

Also, everyone shove the DRM complaints up your asses, it's no reason not to buy the game, it's just a dumbass justification to pirate it.

Although I won't be buying it though, it's a bit... Graphic for my tastes (for example, the killing execution animations in Deus Ex : HR are kinda the limit of what I want to see in my games).

It's also beautifully insane, which is a special thing these days in games, it usually looks forced or becomes a joke, not here.

Why are you so blind to the fact that some of us have had bad experiences with Ubi DRM first-hand?

Ubi DRM caused some serious problems with my old PC too. Forgotten or useless DVD drives, Other games not able to play, etc. and no sign of an apology (just rhetoric). As I recollect the fix was a 3rd party release. So yeah - Go one with your bad self Ubi. I like the look and premise of the game but still have no reason to continue my patronage with them.

I agree here -I've had serious issues with their DRM, and it is a reason to not buy their games. I do not buy Ubisoft games (anymore) though my Steam library has about 200 games in it.

I also want to tell Ubisoft they are assholes for not enabling Steam Cloud with FarCry2 yet... I have never finished the f-ing game, but have played the first half like 3 times.

Me too. I loved Far Cry 1, and I really liked Far Cry 2, even though it was a very different game. But I find it hard to get excited over Far Cry 3, knowing that it will be poisoned with some sort of DRM malware that I'd never in a million years allow on my PC.

DRM solved the piracy problem, all right. I hardly even care what Ubisoft does any more...

Because this is from Ubisoft, there will no doubt be some ridiculous DRM. It may look good, but for the reason I just mentioned, I'll pass.
