MPC PSA: Crysis 2 “Ultra” Upgrade Officially Released
Ever find yourself blasting murderous squid monsters in the face-like-appendage, only to eyeball a nearby piece of shrubbery, drop your weapons in sheer disgust, and wander away from the heat of battle muttering about “tessellation, realistic shadows with variable penumbra, and HDR motion blur”? Oh man, we know the feeling. Fortunately, the new Crysis 2 Ultra upgrade has all those things and DirectX 11 support! Grab the 2.32GB patch load here. Now then, we believe there are some squid monsters that need killing – you know, unless they're now so beautiful that you can't stand to tarnish their hideous gelatinous outer membranes.

I used to often crack my games so I no longer have to deal with DRM or needing the disc in the drive. It doesn't mean I didn't buy them, because I did. Now I just use Steam instead, less trouble.
I'm not sure that's what szore means, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

So.. first the patch was reported to be real.. then it was proven "bogus" in an article a week later.. now the patch is real again?

I applied the update, and the new settings significantly impacted my new system when not OC'd. Brand new i7 rig, GTX 570. I was running at 60fps on the old settings, now at 50 with some annoying skipping.
The patch size was nuts. First the auto update that let me apply them was significant. But the two Ultra updates were just crazy.

I guess the rig-punishing days of the original Crysis are back. I guess it's time to upgrade or OC. Never been a better time to SLI, or Crossfire if that's your thing...

And 1.7GB of which include high-res textures. The low-res console crap from the initial release was my main beef with this game. I'm gonna give it a second run, just gotta experience all the new goodies.

I agree. You came to the wrong place jackass! Buy the game and raise the bar for quality. People like you are the reason games are 60 dollars now.

Cmon man crysis is the worst game to pirate, they are the industry leaders in graphics and we need to support them so other devs will get better graphics too. You shouldn't pirate it anyway.

Go ask on the official boards. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help you.

Depends. Is that a serious question? I think you came to the wrong board.
