Warning: the following video is not for the faint of heart. Or – for that matter – PC gamers. At least, not any that we've ever met. And yet, here it is in writing: “The future of PC gaming is upon us... Are you ready to change the world? We are.” Well, Microsoft, we're thinking “change” might be a relative term, because this looks like the re-heated leftovers of a meal we already spat back onto your table.
So, you've now seen the future, and it's worse than you could have possibly imagined. Before you start hammering together time machines and sending an increasingly convoluted series of killer robots into the past, though, sit down and take a breather. See, here's the thing: by our measure, that video – while leaked very recently – is at least a year old. Between the games on display and the dated Avatar designs, it's entirely possible that Microsoft has since decided to veer off this sterilized, saccharine course altogether.
And if not? Well, keep a close eye on your mouse-and-keyboard. They say gamepads hunt at night, after all.

This is nothing more than a conceptual mashup of Facebook and Sims using kinect for a controller. From a user interface perspective the kinect gesture cotrol implied here is pretty cool, but I really wouldn't worry about the content, they're just playing on popular trends to excite the rather massive casual audience.
We'll still be blowing up photorealistic zombie heads with wasd and a mouse for a while, but maybe we'll be opening our email and surfing the web on the bigscreen tv with a literal flick of the wrist before too much longer.
