As much as I loved Battlefield when I tried it in the past, I didn't have the time to devote to sitting down and learning everything about it from every angle just so I could beat a few levels. Simple is going to win, every time, because a lot of people are like that. That's not to say that MW3 is for the braindead though, while it's pretty easy, it still takes time to be good at it.Diablo 3 Skills

Modern Warefare is for kids who don't know strategy.  Honestly, Battlefield presents far more in terms of a dynamism: dynamic gameplay, strategy and environmental limitations (i.e., bullet drop) makes BF far more complex.  Oh and those levels?  They're worth unlocking.  When I finally accumulated all the weapons, now I'm incentivized to gather every medal and pin.  What makes BF3 a sure fire hit with serious gamers is that it's not one dimensional.  There are individual achievements (new weapons, medals, etc.) as well as team achievements.

For those of you that think BF3/any EA game will be good... Fuck EA. I'm done with their shit http://i.imgur.com/uaU81.png they keep trying to fuck people over. The same with activision. If youn want a good game get Red Orchestra Heroes of Stalingrad when it comes out. This game actually has more features such as a cover system and firing from cover. It also has community mods and support.

Not wanting to belittle what's an obvious PITA, but they're most likely limiting the pre-sales so the servers won't get swamped when they go live. Funny though you'd think they'd be encouraging pre-sales so they can gauge how many servers they'll need. Well I'm enjoying Rift too much to care right now.

MW3 might win when it comes to sales, but BF3 will definitely win when it comes to quality and gameplay.

As for "transfarring", the word exists: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbWDTH35CGs

MW3 will SLAUGHTER BF3 terms of sales, not "might win". That's pretty much a given considering how often MW2/BO are played across all platforms. Though PC alone I suspect BF3 will close to, if not neck and neck. Graphicly, BF3 will look better hands down but "quality and gameplay" is all prefrence. One thing's for sure though, it's never been a better time to be a fan of both series.

Your wrong on both fronts. I went into Game stop today. They said CoD had 300 pre orders while BF3 had 100. BF just doesnt have the name recognition on consoles that MW does at this point. Its not even really a console game. But ied be willing to bet when people actually realize that BF is a much better game, it will out pace MW just like BC2 began to. Keep in mind that BF3 should be A LOT better than BC2 as BC2 was mostly crap.

Secondly, this is the WORST time to be a fan of CoD. CoDs finest days happened between CoD:UO and CoD2. The game fucking sucks now and its just the same shit over and over.

U kidding me. What part of BC2 sucked. Sure the campaign wasn't the best, but it was somewhat more realistic than modern shitware 2.

Multiplayer is great, and even players like me who rarely play BC2 due to the fact that other people in my household uses the gaming computer for other uses, can get the hang of it pretty fast.

If you truly believe your final statement of "things are looking up", then why do you sound like a whiny 4 year old who didn't get what he wanted at Christmas throughout the whole article? While E3 this year was rather disappointing, that doesn't mean it was all bad. Nintendo may have lacked in making a multitouch controller, but for what it is, it's an interesting concept that hasn't even been experimented with since the Sega Dreamcast and it's VMUs. As far as the PSVita goes, get the 3G model if you want something that'll do everything. Put Skype on it, boom, you got a phone. Granted you'll need a headset to use it, but gaming platforms and casual games such as Angry Birds were really never meant to mix. They both hit a different market.

As far as Modern Warfare vs Battlefield, of course MW3 is going to win. I hardly have time to sit down and game anymore. As much as I loved Battlefield when I tried it in the past, I didn't have the time to devote to sitting down and learning everything about it from every angle just so I could beat a few levels. Simple is going to win, every time, because a lot of people are like that. That's not to say that MW3 is for the braindead though, while it's pretty easy, it still takes time to be good at it. I wouldn't necessarily compare it to a greasy cheeseburger as much as I would put it up with dinner at a Chili's or Red Robin.

I'm not hating on your article by any means, I think it was a good read. I just think you need to step back and take a look at it from a general aspect instead of just how you personally were offended. No I don't necessarily care about the Wii U, I probably won't buy a Vita and I doubt if I'll even play MW3 until a good few months after it's released. I just think for what they had, while disappointing, they did decent.
