First Modern Warfare 3 Trailer Stars Explosions, the Number Three, More Explosions
After weathering a leak that would have bled most publishers dry, Activision's officially released the first Modern Warfare 3 gameplay trailer into the wild. Put simply, it's explosion porn – so obviously, if you're an explosion, this is not safe for work. Also, if you thought F3AR made it impossible to look at the number three without weeping bitterly for the English language, wait until you encounter wonderful hits like Threengland, Amthreerica, and Gthreemany. Check out the full thing after the break.

Now, everyone over to the BF3 site to check out the numerous trailers. Crank your surrounds and bass up and let us all drool together after the rocket launches off the rooftop after the sniper. :P,,,,

Call of Duty is for kids who like bright colors and the Halo type feeling of being invincible. It isn't made to be maximized for PC and only has a maximum of 9v9 multiplayer. Now as everyone has been saying, Battlfield 3 will be king as it has exclusive 64 player servers, un matched vehicular combat, fully destructible environments unlike the scripted Call of Duty games and much more. I can't help but be a fanboy because I have played all the games and they have gone downhill after the first game for PC. Also they didn't even bother to rebuild the engine or anything, they just crank the games out to the sheeple.

For people like you to compare any "war" game to COD shows how masterful and monopolizing Activision has been for creating a game that sets the standard for global influence around the gaming community. They'll most likely be making another billion dollars off this and leave the crowd salivating once again when MW4 comes out in the next few years. Whether BF3 will make the same sales will be tested. EVERY company could use a billion dollars and that's all they want from us. And i'm not a fanboy for either, but I do like my options. ;)

The simple bearing of popularity NEVER implies quality in itself.
That said, COD is a quality franchise, but it is video gaming low culture, rather mindless, and derivative.
And that’s all that really needs to be said about it.

I didn't buy black ops, and I'm not buying that. BF3 will be sooo much better, plus frostbite pwns. The water looks like it's from 1997.

i heard the CoD series is all based on the same engine Quake 3 used. not sure if it's true, but that would explain the 14 year old water.
edit: went to wiki to confirm it :). CoD series engine is IW engine which is based on id tech3.

its actually id tech4 if you wanna get technical. the engine itself is rather dated, yes. but it has rock solid stability and runes smooth. battlefield may trump call of duty in the gameplay department, but like any battlefield vet will tell you, dice's engine's are plagued with bugs, some of which are still yet to be patched. please reference the 100 page threads over at EA forums about CTD and lockup/freezes. bad company 2 even crashes on consoles.. which is pretty sad. there is a chat bug, that causes game stutter and performance degradation after each message. dont get me wrong though, i still prefer battlefield's gameplay over anything CoD has to offer, it's just that DICE sucks at making polished engines. im willing to bet my left foot that BF3 is going to be buggy as all hell and run poorly, at least on 64 player servers. who knows how long it will take them to patch it

i don't recall mentioning frostbite is any better, it's buggy as hell. my point is CoD series objective is to pump out as much money as possible, they don't even bother making a better engine to replace the dated ones.

If that's your point, then why even bother referencing game engines? I don't get it..

The trailer... that... will never happen in real life. Even the wars we face today can't really escalate to WWIII because of many things. The Taliban and other terrorists are all scattered, they work independently, and they aren't organized. From various sources I read and heard, the CIA funds the Taliban, so in many aspects, it's a not really a war we face, but rather a "false war". That's how I view things, because if our own allies funds the terrorists in the Middle East, then you can't really consider it as a war anymore. Got the info from Wiki-leaks and other sources. No need to believe me, but finding the truth behind many things is my hobby. :)
So unless certain people in both Russia and the Middle East who believes in communism and war to dominate land, then forms a coalition, THEN WWIII may happen. Fortunately, the likelihood of that happening is next to impossible.
I am looking forward to hearing MW3's story and how the evil Russians terrorists even managed to blow up France, Britain, and even the US. O_o
The storyline for Homefront for example, can actually happen since other countries are busy with their own issues, and US is in the middle of a war in the Middle East. North Korea can be unpredictable. That's only a theory though...
And as for BF3... that's basically the Afghan/Iraq War, the war our troops face right now. So no comment for that. :)
In my opinion, although the action is great in COD, I don't really like this time's story unless they tell me how all that (in the trailer) even happened in the first place.

LOL. Don't be a pooper dude. Have an open mind. The infinite possibilities of "false wars" is what makes games interesting imho. I'm sure I won't be turning into a necromorph anytime soon as well as an nba team scoring over 200 points in a game. =P
That aside, I'm curious how this will stack up against BF3. I'm not willing to spend $120 for both......yet. Not gonna base my decision on gameplay trailers.

I bet they wish they had the Frostbite 2 engine. The graphics, while cool, and what they're doing in the cities looks cool, it just has that slightly cartoonish "this is a game" feel the series has had lately. Unabashed Battlefield fanboy.

Same generic, unrealistic, Steven Segal type action, uncreative scenarios. BF3 FTW.
