You know Battlefield 3 better than you knew William Shatner's music career after that ill-advised afternoon on Wikipedia. You've seen it all laid bare. Locations, classes, even lighting technology – you name it. There's just one thing missing from that equation: the, er, game. But hey, what's this nestled behind the break? Oh, DICE, you shouldn't have! No, seriously, you shouldn't have thrown all this extra garbage atop what should've been a perfectly servicable gameplay trailer. Oh well, it's still pretty impressive. Looks fantastic & the Battlefield series (I'm not counting Bad Company) is long overdue for a sequel. I just hope it plays as good as it looks.

as long as there will be mod / map support like Battlefield2, I'll buy BF3 in a heartbeat !!
Up to this date, I still highly enjoy BF2 ! and its been 6 years and counting.
Meanwhile, BadCompany2 -- I get bored after just 5 days of playing (due to no mod / map support)

I don't know what you are talking about BF2 mod/maps support. That "support" is a joke, it took probably 2 years before anyone could figure out what to do with that "support"...
Quake3 had mod support - now that is a perfect example how it has to be done, the amount of mods/maps for that game while it was still fresh and new and not many PCs could handle it - is astonishing.

* Project Reality
* Forgotten Hope
* Point of existence

And yet when the Modern Warefare 2 trailer showed even LESS detail and info, people were jumping over themselves saying that it'll be the best thing ever in the histroy of everything!
I think it does a pretty good job of giving us a hint at what BF3 is going to be like. If the graphics are anything like in the trailer, this will be a visually stunning game!

If I hadn't know that this was a game, I'd have thought that the clips were taken from IRL footage. I can't wait for this game!!
